Itinerary: Ulaan Bataar - Khugnu Tarna National Park - Karakhorin - Ulaan Bataar / Festivalul Naadam - Terelj National Park

Tour duration: 9 days

We start our journey from Bucharest, flying to Ulaan Bataar, the capital of Mongolia. Upon arrival, we will explore the city and visit the National History Museum and the Gandan Buddhist monastery. Accommodation will be at the Best Western Premier Tuushin Hotel. We will then venture to Khugnu Tarna National Park, where we will experience nomadic life and visit a horse herding family. We will spend the night in a yurt camp, enjoying a traditional Mongolian barbecue. We continue to Karakhorin, the former capital of the Mongol Empire, where we visit the town and the Erdene Zuu Monastery. We will spend the night in a yurt camp, savoring a folklore evening. Return to Ulaan Bataar to attend the Naadam Festival, a spectacular celebration of Mongolian traditions, including wrestling, archery and horse racing. Two days of festivities and the official opening of the festival. On the last day, we explore Terelj National Park, where we visit the huge statue of Genghis Khan and the Ariyapala Temple. We will spend the last night at the Best Western Premier Tuushin Hotel before returning to Bucharest.
